Who is the Inofia SMAX Mattress for?
Although the manufacturer does not specify for which types of sleepers this mattress is for, we think that this Inofia mattress is suitable for side and back sleepers. On Inofia comfort scale, it gets 5 β 6 and on the firmness scale 6 β 7, and our first impression is that it is a bit softer than that, maybe closer to 4 β 5.
It is for allergy sufferers because it is made of hypoallergenic material and its breathability is good. Older children, even those with asthma, are another group of consumers whom this mattress can suit.

Knitted quilted cover
We start with what is closest to your body, and that is the premium knitted quilted cover. As soon as you touch this cover, it will be clear to you that it is a high-quality cover on which you will be very comfortable sleeping. It is made of a 100 per cent natural material that is durable and hypoallergenic.
Main purpose of this cover is to absorb moisture and allow you to sleep on a dry surface. It dries very quickly, so even when you sweat, it will not be a suitable environment for bacteria and dust mites.
Although the look is less important than the above-mentioned functions that this cover has, we should not forget to mention the appearance of this cover, because it is very nicely and modernly designed. The cover is not removable.
AIRYUM memory foam
The next two memory foam layers after cover are layers of advanced AIRYUM memory foam. This layer is multifunctional, because at the same time it gives you comfort as it wraps around you, and it makes you feel cool because it is upgraded breathable memory foam, unlike many other types of memory foam.
It also affects pressure relief and as a result blood circulation is improved. Together with other layers, it keeps your spine aligned naturally.
Inofia did a truly magnificent job with AIRYUM memory foam, which is called massage foam because it is so pleasant for your body.
Support foam + individual pocketed coil springs
We still have two more layers to talk about. These are support foam layer and individually pocketed coil springs. For the support foam layer, high-density foam is used which gives firmness and support. This is a very durable layer we expect to last for a long time without losing its characteristics.
Finally, we came to the individual pocketed coil springs. You will get unique pocketed spring support because they are individually pocketed, which means that they will adapt to your every move. Individually pocketed coil springs support 5 body zones β head and shoulders, back, hips, legs and feet. What is very important for couples is that they will get a maximum motion isolated zero pressure mattress.
Medium firmness
We have already mentioned that the manufacturer ranked Inofia Smax mattress between 6 and 7 on a firm scale from 1 to 10, and that we ranked it between 4 and 5. At first, you will have the impression that this is a soft mattress, because of the hybrid medium plush surface but after a few minutes, you will feel support and understand that it is actually a medium firm and not soft.
We like that very much, because it is comfortable as a soft mattress and supportive as a medium firm. However, firmness is unlikely to be suitable for stomach sleepers.
25cm of height
25 cm is the average thickness for hybrid mattresses and many hybrid mattresses that are of similar quality as Inofia Smax mattress are thicker than that, closer to 30 cm and even higher.
But generally sleep experts from Inofia have a different approach when creating mattresses. Most of their hybrid mattresses are between 20 and 25 cm thick, and only a few models are slightly thicker so this is their approach to making mattresses.
And we can confirm to you that they are doing a good job and that 25 cm is more than enough in this particular case, because we did not have a single complaint about the thickness.

The common problems with the Inofia SMAX mattress & how to solve them
Calling anything a major problem at this price point would be nitpicking, but with that in mind, the only actual problem with this mattress is the lack of a removable, machine-washable cover. This can make it tricky to keep clean, although spot-cleaning should suffice for most people.
So, please avoid eating and drinking in bed. Tough stains will be impossible to remove. On way around this whole thing is if you invest in a mattress protector. A protective layer should be more than capable of keeping the mattress spotless in years to come.
